Funeral today for 13-year-old girl apparently shot by father

The funeral for Larissa Estrada, the 13-year-old girl found shot in the Sampson County home of her father, is being held today in Newton Grove.

Authorities are still investigating the shooting, but it's believed Edwin Estrada, 51, shot his daughter and then himself last Friday. The son of Edwin Estrada found both bodies when he came to pick up his sister.

Larissa Estrada was first taken to Sampson Regional Medical Center and then airlifted to UNC Hospitals. She died Saturday.

The funeral is being held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 12 p.m. today.
