He was a Spanish cyclist who made his professional cycling debut last year and had been riding with the Euskaltel-Euskadi team of Basque star Samuel Sanchez. He finished ninth in the Spanish national road championships in 2011, and won the fourth stage of the Tour of Asturias. He started the Tour of Britain earlier this month but withdrew before the completion of the race. Victor Cabedo has died after being hit by a car during a training run in the eastern village of Almedijar.
