He was called as a "Butcher of Mumbai". Kasab was a Pakistani militant and a member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba Islamist group. Kasab along with his accomplice opened fire and threw hand grenades at Mumbai’s main railway station on November 26, 2008. In this incident they killed 52 people and wounded more than 100 innocent civilians. He was born to Amir Shahban Kasab and Noor Illahi in small village Faridkot in Pakistan. His father, Mohammed Amir Iman, ran a food stall in the village. The family belongs to the Qassab community.
